As of December 31, 2010 VTB consolidated 43.2% of its registered ordinary shares acquired from its minority shareholders within phased acquisition of stake in OJSC TransCreditBank, approved by JSC VTB Bank Supervisory Council on 04 October 2010. At present, JSC VTB Bank owns 74.5% of shares.
TransCreditBank is a leader in providing services to transportation and related industries. The Bank also cooperates with the largest Russian companies and SMEs in:
- Power engineering,
- Mining industry,
- Infrastructure development;
- Trade, etc.
In total the Bank provides services to over 50,000 enterprises in all areas of economy.
TransCreditBank rapidly develops its retail banking business. The Bank provides services to about 3 million individuals and is currently among Top 5 Russian banks in terms of cards in circulation and issued mortgage loans.
