In 1992 – Department First Secretary, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
1979-1992 – different positions at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: during 1979-1982 – in the USSR Consulate General in Australia, in 1985-1990 – in the USSR Embassy in Great Britain.
In 1979 – graduated from the Moscow State University majoring in "Political Economy", Ph.D. in Economics.
In September 2011- was awarded with the Order for Services to the Fatherland III degree for “substantial contribution to the development of the financial sector” of Russia.

Born in 1956, in Moscow.

Married, has a son and a grandson.
