The VTB Bank Scholarship program was launched in 2002. Its main objective is to attract talented students to careers in banking. Participation in the program is on a competitive basis.
In 2008, 20 students from four Moscow universities received VTB scholarships. The schools were the Russian Government Financial Academy, the State University – Higher School of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University (MGU), and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
