The Supervisory Council of the Bank acts under applicable Russian law, the Bank`s Charter, Regulation on the Supervisory Council and other VTB Bank by-laws. The Supervisory Council decides on general matters of the Bank`s activities, including its development strategy, except for those falling within the terms of reference of the General Shareholders Meeting under applicable Russian law and the Charter.

Independent member of the Supervisory Council Rector of the St. Petersburg State University. Since 2008 – Rector of the St. Petersburg State University.

2006-2008 – First Pro-Rector of the St. Petersburg State University.
2000-2005 – Chairman of St. Petersburg Charter Court.

Class 1 Full State Counselor of St. Petersburg.

Born in 1959.
In 1981 – graduated from the Leningrad State University majoring in "Law", Doctor of Law, professor.
