Leonid Volkov

Leonid Volkov

Born in Moscow in 1975

Assistant professor, Chair of Strategic and Crisis Management, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation; plenipotentiary representative of the Chuvash Republic to the Russian President; member of the SCC since 2009.

With a PhD in Economics and higher education degrees in economics and law, he served as an independent director of two companies, was in charge of analysing Sberbank’s economic and financial performance and was strategic development head at a large defence company.

As an SCC member, Leonid Volkov plans to protect the rights and interests of VTB Bank shareholders, to help the bank’s management draft and implement strategy, and to work to increase the bank’s market value by improving the system of incentives for top managers and by optimising expenditures.

Sergei Gavrilov

Sergei Gavrilov

Born in Moscow in 1966

Chairman of the State Duma Property Committee, member of the Government Commission on Preventing the Bankruptcy of Strategic Enterprises and Defence Industry Organisations, member of the SCC since 2009. Graduate of Lomonosov Moscow State University with degrees in economics and law. PhD (Economics). Married, with four children.


Stanislav Kleshchov

Stanislav Kleshchov

Born in Moscow in 1981

Managing director and chief analyst at the VTB24 Investment Department, holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Lomonosov Moscow State University, member of the MICEX Index Committee. Married, with two children.

As an SCC member, Stanislav Kleshchov plans to contribute to drafting the bank’s strategy, to implement measures to increase its market value, to uphold minority shareholders’ rights and to boost their financial knowledge.

Yevgeny Korchevoi

Yevgeny Korchevoi

Born in the Moscow Region in 1978

Director of the Russian Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (Rosagromash). Graduate of Vologda State Technical University, a postgraduate student at the State University of Management (Moscow), PhD (Economics), on the Top 1,000 Russian Managers ranking list, and winner of the Stolypin Agrarian Elite of Russia Prize. Married, with four children.

As an SCC member, Yevgeny Korchevoi plans to work towards increasing the bank’s openness and improving its interaction with shareholders and to contribute to drafting the bank’s financing strategy in agriculture, mechanical engineering and export.

Valery Petrov

Valery Petrov

Born in Moscow in 1966

Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Development of Financial Markets (IRFR), an internationally respected analyst and financial and corporate governance expert. Holds several higher education diplomas, a certificate of Chartered Financial Analyst (CIIA) and a PhD in Economics. Has held top managerial posts. Author of numerous articles and books on economic issues.

As an SCC member, Valery Petrov plans to actively contribute to drafting a new strategy and to creating special products for VTB shareholders.

Yelena Popova

Yelena Popova

Born in Moscow in 1958

PhD (Economics), member of the VTB Bank Supervisory Council, winner of the Government Prize in Science and Technology, Merited Worker of Science and Technology and Merited Worker of Higher Professional Education. Higher education degrees in economics and law, investment experience, a qualification certificate of financial director and financial expert/consultant accredited by the Finance Ministry. Contributes to drafting, coordinating and implementing state scientific and technological programmes. Married, with a daughter. An SCC member since 2009.

As an SCC member, Yelena Popova plans to provide practical assistance to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of VTB Bank shareholders.

Igor Repin

Igor Repin

Born in Moscow in 1966

Deputy Managing Director and Head of Business Development at the Investor Protection Association. Has served as an independent director of a number of Russian companies since 2000, including companies with state capital. Assessor of the Moscow Commercial Court. Graduate of Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in geography. Has considerable experience of corporate dispute resolution and dealings with shareholders. Married, with three children.

Plans to actively contribute to the SCC work.

Maxim Sergeyev

Maxim Sergeyev

Born in St Petersburg in 1979

An engineer at St Petersburg Academic University headed by Zhores Alfyorov. Graduate of Ukhta State Technical University. Employee of the Year 2010. Married, with two children.

As an SCC member, Maxim Sergeyev plans to analyse the bank’s performance, to take part in discussions and debates and to contribute to charting the bank’s optimal development course, its products, services and strategies, including in information security, internet banking and special services provided to the bank’s shareholders and customers.

Vasily Sidorov

Vasily Sidorov

Born in Moscow in 1971

Owner and managing partner of Euroatlantic Investments Ltd., a director of Aeroflot – Russian Airlines and Russian Railways (RZD). Graduate of the International Law School of MGIMO University and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School (USA). Managed one of Russia’s largest public companies and has worked on several large national and international companies. Member of the Expert Council under the Russian Government. Married, with a child. An SCC member since 2009.

As an SCC member, Vasily Sidorov plans to uphold the interests of minority shareholders even more actively, primarily with regard to the bank’s strategy and dividend policy, the acquisition of core and non-core assets and information transparency.

Vadim Soskov

Vadim Soskov

Born in Moscow in 1966

Deputy CEO of Kapital Asset Management. Winner of the Financial Elite of Russia Prize as the most senior player on the collective investment market. Member of the expert council on collective investment and of the Administrative Council of the Russian Venture Capital Association (RVCA). A World Bank and TACIS expert on pension reform in Russia. Graduate of Moscow State Pedagogical University, with considerable teaching experience. 

Yelena Shtykanova

Yelena Shtykanova

Born in Moscow in 1960

Advisor to the deputy CEO of Norilsk Nickel, PhD (Economics), graduate of MGIMO University with a diploma in international economic relations. Has considerable financial and corporate governance experience of international projects in Russia.

As an SCC member, Yelena Shtykanova plans to take an active part in corporate governance and in promoting relations with minority shareholders.
