JSC VTB Bank is a sponsor of all-Russian campaign “Within the Family” to be held from April to October 2010 in seven Russian regions. On 6 and 7 April the campaign was held in Yakutsk and on 16 April – in Yekaterinburg.
The campaign envisages press-conferences and talk-shows. Also, it is planned to hold round-tables named “A Walking-Distance Yard Club”, to make charity trips to boarding schools, homes for the aged, to show films of the International Film Festival “Within the Family”, and charity circus performances. Under the campaign, some cities will witness the construction of sculpture composition Saint Blessed Petr and Febronia of Murom or the procedure of laying the first stone of the future sculpture.
The program is targeted at restoring moral and spiritual relationships in Russia, creating a positive image of the family, and cultivating family values among the youth.
It is the sixth time the campaign has been held in Yakutsk. This time the program includes: charity screening of feature films, the laureates of the IV International Film Festival “Within the Family”, such as “God’s Smile or The Odessa Story”, “Pop”, and “Beyond Silence”; a number of press conferences, and meetings with famous actresses Irina Alferova and Marina Yakovleva.
The actresses visited the “Bereginya” children’s home, which has been under the supervision of VTB Branch in Yakutsk for several years. Children staged a concert and painted the portraits of Irina Alferova. During the press-conference Nikolay Makarov, Head of VTB Branch in Yakutsk, told about the Bank’s social policy, “World Without Tears” and “VTB to the Country” charity campaigns and corporate voluntary movement.
In Yekaterinburg, during the talk-show “Everything as it is” Alexander Paramonov, Head of Yekaterinburg Branch, Irina Alferova, a People’s artist of Russia, and leading cultural figures discussed some issues of preserving family and national values. Alexander Paramonov said: It is a pleasure for VTB Branch in Yakutsk to participate in the program “Within the Family”, because we are not indifferent to our future generation of businessmen, bankers, and managers, which will replace the current one. It is within our power to contribute to the upbringing of the youth in the spirit of respect to family values, marriage, and original Russian traditions”.
After the talk-show the program participants visited Yekaterinburg Children’s Home No.7, where Irina Alferova held a creative meeting with senior pupils and teachers and gave them presents.
Forreference:One of the major tasks of VTB charity is support to the socially vulnerable population, in particular, orphans and disabled children. The Bank regularly provides financial assistance to children’s healthcare institutions, and also allocates significant funds to educational programs. The key principle of VTB charity policy is a targeted support under its own corporate programs. With this aim in view, VTB created “World Without Tears” charity program.
