Within the framework of “All-Russian Philharmonic Seasons” project, VTB Bank has acted as a general sponsor of concert tours by the National Philharmonic of Russia (NPR), an orchestra headed by Vladimir Spivakov.
The NPR will be on tour from 16 to 25 October 2010 to visit Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Krasnoyarsk. The program includes Russian and foreign symphonic classical music as well as instrumental masterpieces performed by young and talented pianists Alexander Gavrilyuk and Phillip Kopachevsky.
In every town the Orchestra invites for free students and teachers of music schools and colleges as well as physically-challenged children, orphans, and problem teenagers to see the open final rehearsals to be held before the tours. This event is supported by Alexander Zhukov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Arkady Dvorkovich, Presidential Aide.
The NPR tours are designed to become an outstanding cultural event for philharmonic society in various Russian regions.
The current concert tour is not the first event held under VTB cooperation with the famous master. In 2007, Moscow hosted the international festival “Vladimir Spivakov invites…”, with VTB participation as its general sponsorship.
