On 28 April 2005, the third IT Leader awarding ceremony took place in Moscow. Among candidates for the award was Vneshtorgbank.
Winners are chosen among IT divisions of state authorities, industrial enterprises, finance and telecommunications companies that have succeeded in implementing socially important projects in the sphere of IT development and have contributed to Russia’s development as a leading IT nation. IT Leader award is extended to companies who helped Russia integrate its innovative and economic achievements into the global development process.
About 60 companies were bidding for the award. Winners were selected by a special jury comprising heads of Russian representative offices of the world leading IT companies, representatives of central mass media and heads of core consulting companies, such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, HP, Cisco Systems, EMC, Documentum Services CIS, Sun Microsystems, Market-Visio, and IDC.
KPMG, an auditing company, acts as an independent observer for the award.
The winners got the IT Leader prize – a crystal rhombus with silver ornament symbolizing fresh ideas, clear intentions and innovative character.
