Alexandr Yastrib, VTB Senior Vice President, said: "We are satisfied with how the new team lead by Vladimir Filatov, PGK Director, carries out the project's priority tasks, increases the speed of housing and social construction, and decides on engineering and transport infrastructure".
Under the New City project VSG plans to construct 35 595 sq. m. of housing by 20 December 2008, and to open first social infrastructure facilities from 1 January 2009, including a general practitioner's ofice. On 1 September 2009, a school for 825 pupils and a nursery school for 280 children will be opened. Both projects have been developed by German architects. By 1 January 2010, 200 000 sq. m. of housing are expected to be constructed in the New City. These are the obligations of Volgastroigroup, a general contractor and construction manager.
