Vneshtorgbank and the Federal Atomic Energy Agency of the Russian Federation are set to further develop mutually rewarding partnership under the Cooperation Agreement signed by the parties. The Agreement will enable Vneshtorgbank to assist the Agency in reaching strategic priorities of both the Agency and atomic energy enterprises. Presently, the total amount of credit risks accepted for the atomic energy enterprises exceeds RUR22 billion.
Among Vneshtorgbank's customers and partners, alongside the Federal Agency, are Rosenergoatom Concern, "Tehsnabexport" foreign economic company, "Atomstroyexport" foreign trade association, "Electrochemical Plant" production association, the Siberian Chemical Plant, "Electrohimpribor" state enterprise, "Instrument Making Plant" state enterprise and many other atomic energy enterprises all over the country, which are active users of Vneshtorgbank's services, such as lending, documentary operations, payroll and lending services to the personnel, as well as services of "Vneshtorgfond" non-government pension fund.
Within the framework of Vneshtorgbank's strategy aimed at enhancing business contacts with atomic energy enterprises, a new office of Vneshtorgbank was opened in April 2005 in the town of Novouralsk, Sverdlovsk region, where one of the largest and system-forming enterprises of the Russian atomic industry, Uralsky Electrochemical Plant, is located.
Heads of enterprises and institutions of the town attended the opening ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Anatoly Knutarev, General Director of Uralsky Electrochemical Plant is reported to say: "We are really honored to have an office of such a large bank opened in Novouralsk, since Vneshtorgbank is a bank not only of Russian, but also of global dimensions. Those who keep abreast of the Bank's ratings know that Vneshtorgbank is a brand name meeting all the criteria of high quality services. I would also like to underline that in the sphere of atomic energy and space, Vneshtorgbank pursues the policy of a market conqueror. There is at least one thing that brings us together - both Uralsky Electrochemical Plant and Vneshtorgbank are state-owned.
To offer comprehensive and high quality services to atomic energy enterprises and their personnel, as well as to other enterprises and households, Vneshtorgbank also opened its offices in Zelenogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Seversk, Tomsk region and other towns where its customers, atomic energy enterprises, are located.
