Vneshtorgbank placed its debut one year issue of Schuldscheindarlehen (SSD) for EUR 130 million.
The issue was jointly arranged by Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG, Vienna and Donau Bank AG, Vienna (member of VТB Group).
Due to strong interest of German and Austrian investors the loan book was significantly oversubscribed with the coupon of the issue paying EURIBOR+1.15%, which is a new benchmark for the Russian banks` borrowings on the international capital markets.
A Schuldschein is a certificate of indebtedness evidencing a loan and is constituted by the underlying loan agreement entered into between the issuer of the Schuldschein, as the borrower, and initial holder of the Schuldschein as the lender.
The rights under Schuldschein loan may only be transferred by written assignment of the underlying loan and not by transfer of the Schuldschein itself.
Main investors in Schuldschein are Austrian and German banks, insurance companies, investment funds and other institutional investors.
