A signing ceremony took place on 16 July 2004 where an agreement on co-operation was signed between Vneshtorgbank and the Secretariat of the Eurasian Economic Community Integration Committee. Andrey Kostin, Chairman and C.E.O., for Vneshtorgbank, and Grigori Rapota, Secretary General, for the Secretariat, signed the Agreement.
The instrument is aimed at establishing and developing co-operation between the Secretariat of the EurAsEC Integration Committee and Vneshtorgbank, including, implementation of joint projects in economy, trade and investment in the cause of Member States of the Eurasian Economic Community.
Vneshtorgbank regards as а top priority business line an enhanced participation in handling integration processes within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Community.
For this organisation, reliance on financial institutions of Member States, where Vneshtorgbank command leadership positions, will enable to implement on a regular basis large-scale programmes for economic development of Member States of the Community.
The Eurasian Economic Community comprises Bielarus, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Russia and Tajikistan. Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine enjoy the observer status within the Community.
