A signing ceremony to enter into a Co-operation agreement between Vneshtorgbank and MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG took place on 30 September 2003 in Munich, Germany, where the MAN Group headquarter is located. Vladimir Dmitriev, Executive Vice President and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, for Vneshtorgbank, and Detlef Romberg, Senior Vice President and Truck International Sales General Manager, for MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, signed the Agreement.
The signing of the Agreement became a further step forward in developing co-operation between Vneshtorgbank and MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG and its subsidiary operating in Russia, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Trading, in funding programmes promoting purchase by customers of MAN-made vehicles on international financial lease terms.
Under this Agreement, the partnership between Vneshtorgbank and MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG is intended to provide Russian carriers with financial instruments and financial resources needed for procurement of vehicles made by MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG. Vneshtorgbank`s subsidiary leasing companies such as Euroleasing GmbH, Berlin, and VTB Leasing will take part in fulfilment of the Agreement, and programmes motivating VTB customers to purchase vehicles on financial lease terms can become a prospective line of business for those companies.
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG is willing to offer Russian carriers the complete range of vehicles: light trucks from 3 ton load-carrying capacity, truck tractors and trucks, including chassis for building and utility purposes, as well as buses and coaches.
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG forms part of the MASN Group, which is one of the European-based leaders in the international vehicle industry with a ?16 billion turnover.
