Yesterday, President Vladimir Putin delivered his annual State of the Nation address, the second in his third Presidency. Transcripts of the speech are available on the Kremlin website.
The speech covered a wide range of subjects, including social, political, economic, and foreign policies. Putin touched briefly on judicial reform, development of the political system, and demanded progress on improving public sector efficiency. The economic focus was on enforcing measures to improve the business climate. Several tax incentives were also suggested – particularly to promote new business in the Russian Far East and Siberia. De-offshorisation was another prominent topic.
