The VTB regional network consists of 55 branches, located in all of Russia’s federal districts. The branches have over six thousand employees, making up more than half of the bank’s total staff.
The efficient operation of the regional network is a strategic priority for VTB.

The greater part of training events for branch employees (79% of the total, with 1,076 participants, in 2008) are held at Regional Training Centers (RTC) which provide for their organizational support.
A Regional Training Center is a branch of VTB Bank where, in addition to its primary operations, training events are organized and conducted for employees from all branches in its region. There are currently nine RTCs in Russia, based at branches in Belgorod, Vladimir, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, St. Petersburg and Khabarovsk.
Each RTC has classrooms equipped with multi-media technologies and video-conferencing terminals, special furniture, flipcharts and other training facilities. Each RTC conducts three to five educational events per quarter.
All corporate programs and video conferences are conducted through the RTC, along with e-learning and professional testing of employees. The RTC adheres to all VTB corporate education standards, including the use of cutting-edge technologies and equipment, professional instructors and trainers.
The Regional Training Centers have another important function, besides organizing corporate programs. They recruit the best specialists from the branches into the training process, so that they can share their professional expertise with their colleagues. Corporate trainers work at the branches, while specialists from various busines lines conduct workshops on the bank’s credit procedures and products.
VTB is especially proud of its Regional Training Centers. Their establishment in late 2007 not only increased the number of training events and programs for the bank’s regional offices, but improved the quality of training. Today the RTCs are a key part of VTB Bank’s T&D System.
