The main tool used in the VTB LMS is our Corporate E-learning Web-portal, based on the WebTutor platform. The Web-portal helps us manage educational processes throughout VTB: activate E-courses and e-tests, monitor training outcomes, make various reports.
In addition, we regularly communicate all kinds of T&D information via the Web-portal , like training sessions being held at the bank or new inputs to Corporate Web Library. Thus, employees can be aware of relevant training events and promptly get involved.

Professional testing is a set of e-tests developed by VTB specialists. It is used for prompt and effective evaluation of employees’ knowledge of legal regulations and VTB Bank policies and procedures. Over 70% more testing was done in 2008 than the previous year.
We make extensive use of video-conferencing technologies for educational purposes. This is an efficient way of conveying information to a large number of business process participants at the bank’s branches and subsidiaries. Video-conferencing is indispensable when we need to train branch employees on new instructions, changes in regulations or policies, or new software. In 2008, video seminars accounted for more than 15% of our training events.
The LMS is fully integrated into the VTB T&D System. All of the bank’s corporate programs combine in-person training with e-learning (through e-courses, e-tests and video conferences).
