Speedy Settlement Scheme (SSS) between VTB and NSD

Starting from December 26, 2011 VTB Bank ("VTB") and Closed Joint Stock Company "The National Settlement Depository" ("NSD") started up securities settlement under the Speedy Settlement Scheme (SSS).

SSS is carried out through internal transfers within Custody clients’ depo accounts and interdepositary account of NSD opened with VTB Bank, and enables to reduce time and costs via avoiding re-registration of securities through local registrars.

Implementation of SSS will increase efficiency for the following transaction types:

• transactions with counterparties;
• change of place of safekeeping; 
• issuance and cancellation of depository receipts on shares of Russian issuers
