Andrey L. Kostin

Andrey L. Kostin Member of the Supervisory Council JSC VTB Bank President and Chairman of the Management Board.

With VTB Bank since 2002. President and Chairman of the Management Board. In 2007, VTB Bank Supervisory Council extended the authorities of Mr. Kostin as VTB Bank President and Chairman of the Management Board until 2012.

Previously held positions:
1996-2002 – Chairman of Vnesheconombank, with the authorities being extended in 1999 for another three years.
In 1995 – First Deputy Chairman, National Reserve Bank.
1993-1995 – Deputy Head of Foreign Investment Department, Imperial Bank.
1992-1993 – Executive Director, Russian Investment and Finance Company.
In 1992 – Department First Secretary, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
1979-1992 – different positions at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: during 1979-1982 – in the USSR Embassy in Australia, in 1985-1990 – in the USSR Embassy in Great Britain.

In 2006, for his contribution to the development of the Russian financial and banking system, Mr. Kostin was awarded with Class IV Order for Services to the Fatherland and a Letter of Gratitude from the Russian President.
In 1999, Mr. Kostin was decorated with the Order of Honor.
In 1998 and 2001, Mr. Kostin received Certificates of Honor from the Russian Government for his dedication to developing the Russian banking system.

Born in 1956, in Moscow.
In 1979 – graduated from the Moscow State University majoring in "Political Economy", Ph.D. in Economics.
